Mapping the Day
High hopes abound at MLB Spring Training camps. Players, coaches, scouts, front office brass, owners and fans converge to see what the upcoming season will hold.
We just returned from Los Angeles Angels spring training in Tempe, Arizona. The excitement there is palpable.
Local Story
We started our day at the minor league training camp. The minor leaguers are inspiring to watch. Every man is trying his best to show talent, improvement, attitude and promise. It is an exciting place to be an observer of baseball’s future.
View from the Table
After an inspiring morning on the minor league side, we walked over to Tempe Diablo Stadium for the major league game between the Angels and the Texas Rangers. The intimate baseball theater puts fans very close to the game. You can hear the ball smack into the pitcher’s glove, the wave of practice swings through the warm desert air, the crack of the bat to ball, the grunt of an infielder stretching to catch a hit and the thud of errant balls into fans’ hands.
Recipe
