L.A. Days

I worked and lived in mid-Wilshire Los Angeles in the late 1970s. Iconic restaurants, bars and attractions were a constant draw. Give me some Pink’s hotdogs, the Troubadour, Molly Malone’s Irish Bar, May Co. on Fairfax, LACMA, the La Brea tar pits, Canter’s Deli, Cugat’s, Lawry’s the Prime Rib, the Farmers Market at 3rd and Fairfax and the list goes on. Yes, I am dating myself, because some of these beloved spots are history.

Pink’s Hot Dogs was a regular haunt for me back then. We often stood in a long line with great anticipation of the delicious fare at the classic L.A. hot dog stand. I like mine with chili, onion and cheese, but a visit to www.PinksHotDogs.com will give you lots of ideas for celebrity-inspired toppings.

This weekend, we will be cheering our L.A. Rams to victory. Reminiscent of my days in L.A., classic chili dogs, cold Bud Light and football will be on the menu. That sounds like a perfect Sunday afternoon.
