Fort Worth, Texas
This Kung Pao Chicken recipe is a home run. It is the featured entree for our Peanutty MLB Opening Day party menu. Pair it with our other peanutty dishes for a baseball party your guests will never forget.

Mapping the Day
Our son and daughter-in-law have learned the art of adapting to their surroundings. Since he is a U.S. Air Force pilot, they move to a new home every year to three years. Their assignments have landed them in Mississippi, Arizona, Nevada, Texas and Germany so far. As Southern California natives, they find themselves longing for their hometown favorite meals.
Local Story
They are adept in the kitchen and are a formidable pair for replicating recipes they have tried elsewhere. Maybe they have picked up some tips from their RoadTripFlavors moms. Regardless of their inspiration, it was pretty fun to see them make the likes of the following recipe or even an In-N-Out-style burger in their little German kitchen.
View from the Table
On our recent visit to see them and our granddaughter in Fort Worth, we opted to stay at home for dinner so our little one could go to bed on time. To our delight Kathee and David whipped up some awesome meals. One night we could have been at a well-known Asian bistro restaurant when we were graced with homemade Lettuce Wraps and Kung Pao Chicken. But actually, Kathee’s version is much better.
